Unloved by Peyton Corrine

This was one of my MOST HIGHLY anticipated romance books of this year. Specifically , hockey romance of this year.

Unloved features main characters Matthew ‘ Freddy ‘ Fredderic and Rosalie ‘ Ro ‘ Shariff. With the previous book Unsteady we met main characters Sadie & Rhys who make occasional appearances throughout the book . This is a good paced, slow burn romance that will have you hooked until the very last page.

A college hockey romance with a distinct difference. It tackles complex characters and various mental health conditions as well as learning disabilities. Freddy has ADHD , dyslexia and dyscalculia which is portrayed incredibly. This series ; The undone is so underrated.

It is written in dual POV ( Point of view) From both Ro and Freddy’s perspective. And follows the same time line as the first book . Without being repetitive . I actually think this series would make a great tandem read.

Although , they are a series . The way in which they are written makes it possible to read either one first.

I loved this book .

Could this book have been better? No , it was another flawless read for me from Peyton Corrine.

I make a vow then to protect her, the pretty girl with butterflies in her messy curls, even if she’ll never really be mine

– Freddy

The only thing I didn’t enjoy was being teased by more Toren Kane knowing that we will never have his book. Even the snippets we see throughout both books establish him as a complex individual. AND I NEED MORE! To the males in the book he portrays one image and towards the females he is a protector. There is a story there! Peyton Corrine pleeeasssssseeeee!

Would I read another book by Peyton Corrine . Urmmmm… Hell yes! Autobuy author. If you like Elle Kennedy , you’ll love these books. In an oversaturated market it is easy for books to blend into one another only few and far between stand out. This is a stand out book and you will be unable to forget any of the characters. Especially Freddy.
